  • It is a very easily digestible vegetable. Its soup is especially used to soothe stomach disorders. It is widely used in Ayurveda to treat fever, skin infections, wounds and constipation.

  • The chunks of the vegetable are cooked as curry, stew or soup. The bland fruit flesh is an ideal base for making sweets.
